Greetings,
I love the meeroos.xls, it's a very useful spreadsheet.
I'd pay for access to it and I would pay even more if there could be some more information added to it.
I only use your spreadsheet as the source of my own tracking spreadsheet of the meeroo's information and their nests, every day adding the new nests created to my own spreadsheet which I then reorganize and sort.
I then archive older spreadsheets of any that have retired and, needless to say I've got a ton of archived workbooks, and my current spreadsheet has gotten huge with individual pages archived.
This morning I'm looking at 89 nests to track, to fill in missing information that I use, to sort each of them by family lines and then add their information to each of the family's history that I've been tracking since June.
It takes a lot of time to gather and just sort the information to track genetic history for both the males and females and their offspring in the lines.
I thought first that I'd pay someone else to do it for me, but if I could download this information presorted by my own selections so I could just cut n paste it into my main spreadsheets, well I'd pay for that too. LOL
I believe this is possible and the load of the requests might not hinder the clockworks if we keep each of the selections tight.
So here's an idea, and maybe other players could add to what they'd also "I'd pay for that".
Criteria Selection download.
Select up to two meeroo by ID Number (representating a pair)
Select level of information to download:
Level 1:
Offspring information (children) of each of the selected meeroo, sorted by dad's kids and by mom's kids.
Level 2:
Includes Offspring (grandchildren) of each of the selected meeroo's offspring (children) and their nest's other parent's (daughter in law/son in law) information.
Level 3:
Includes the selected meeroos Parent's (their mom & dad) information and their other offspring (brothers/sisters).
Level 4:
Includes offspring (nephews/neices) of the selected meeroos parent's other offspring (brothers/sisters) and their mate's information.
To link them up and track their genetics deeper a player would only need to start their selection with two more meeroo, likely a pair of the relatives from those other reports, in order to gather more lineage information.
What do you think? Too much?
Even if it was cut off at Level 2, it would help and to go to 3-4 we could select two more meeroo and just add a second report to the information in the first.
