A Little bit of Change

Good afternoon Meeroo Parents!

Time has gone by so quickly over these last several months! Meeroos have gone through quite a few changes. I'm so proud of what we have created together, myself, Chimeric and Levio. The Meeroos represent an exhaustive development process and a whole new world, and new roles for the three of us to fill. It's been a vast, but welcomed challenge. I've learned so much, made many friends and have gotten the opportunity to know many of you.

While it wasn't all smooth sailing, it's certainly helped me develop skills I never imagined within my person. It's introduced me to new realms of creativity, and I've stood in awe as Levio gave life to inanimate creatures that Chimeric made real from a 2-D concept image. Watching those two is like being in the presence of magicians. The talent folded up in a single Meeroo is exquisite.

I wear many hats in this endeavor, and these experiences with Meeroos have pushed me in directions I've never been. For the last month its become increasingly difficult to undertake all of the tasks at hand without responsibly delegating. At some point I need to concede that I simply *can't* do everything, nor am I the best qualified to do as many things as I was. It's genuinely not fair to the project to only be able to devote 25% to each department when they need a dedicated someone(s) who can give 100%. It's humbling to admit you're not Wonder-Woman after all, but at some point you have to put your ego aside and ask yourself, "Am I the right person for this?"

In many cases, it was no. Having spent time with my family, my friends and loved ones this past weekend it definitely helped solidify my decision to step back from a few roles at Malevay Studios. It's a scenario I've been considering for some time now, so it wasn't a choice I made in haste nor was it prompted by any single one of the daily dramas that we all trip over together, you and us. It was purely and simply a personal choice in pursuit of my happiness and wellbeing. This is an enormously positive change for us all.

I'm tremendously excited for you to meet Allison, the new Community Manager who will be blog posting from now on and interfacing with our forum community. I've been working with her for about the last three weeks, having brought her on board in this role when I was still pondering my future here, and she's adapted quickly and has blown me away with her grace. I know you'll adore her as much as I do!

Watch for her blog soon!

Warmly,
Catherine
