I would really really really really like a little "oracle orb" that I could set out in my sim that would tell me if there were ANY starving roos anywhere. It wouldnt even necessarily need to use any kind of scanner, it could be triggered on the backend database - "query- do i have any starving roos anywhere, if so, who and where?" and then IM me if there are any.
I know that in the Beta Malevey decided not to have any kind of API but something like a hungry roo monitor are SADLY LACKING. I had a bunch of roos go poof on me when I was having connection problems and it is disappointing.
Another thing that I can envision is perhaps some sort of "protective oracle/guardian sphere" where any starved roos are "kept" (perhaps as a simple hovertext list or something) before they ran off to the wild. This could work as a way to get them back, or keep better track of who is lost. I think 350 lindens for the whistles is greedy and that it would be better if we could opt to "feed them back to happiness" by offering them up their missing meals. This would be comparable to how the horses work, a sick horse can be fed for three days (during which time it wont reproduce) and then it is well and whole again. It seems fair to me that such a coaxed hungry roo would miss a breeding cycle and eat up the missed food. That would still come to less than 350 Lindens.
