Tiger,
I would love to see you have a refillable bowl system like the turtles did. The system was coded by Grim Hathor and his partner Matthew Anthony. It was solid and user friendly. I think the Meeroos could benefit from a system like his. The turtles have mostly died away now, it might even be possible to buy the refillable food bowl code from him to repurpose for roos, or perhaps subcontract to him or something.
The system worked like this:
You bought food from the vendors, but the actual food was stored on their web server.
There was an attachment to wear, when clicked it would tell you how many servings you had on the server.
All you had to do was walk around to your dishes, click them, and the servings would top off the bowl and subtract from the server number. I believe that other people wearing your land group could also top off your bowls with their servings, but its been long enough that I am not sure on that one.
The smallest two bowls could be purchased with lindens. There were several size bowls, that you could purchase with the turtle equiv of regard. You could only get the largest bowls at the point store (assuming larger breeders needed them and had the points).
The other cool thing with their system was that you could make food gift cards from your own bank of food servings. So if you had a friend who needed a bit of help you could pass them some food directly (and knew it would go for feeding).
I found the feeding system to be wonderfully convenient. I could have my turtles grouped with a feeder that would feed them all for a week. Then I could just keep everything topped off and then I had no worries if I was kicked offline a couple days or something.
The system also helped me out BIGTIME once, I had refilled ALL the many food dishes (about 60 USD worth of food!) on the ranch and had a sim crash rollback that set everything back about half an hour to the pre-refill state. I was freaking out, and contacted Grim and he was able to see that I had in fact refilled all the dishes, and that they were now all nearly empty so he was able to get me back in working order in no time. That would have been difficult to "prove" if it was just plain bowls like the roos have.
It was a really solid system and if there is a way that you guys might be able to acquire it, or make your own, I think it would be a huge boon for meeroo breeders!
