Patterns?

Esther Fierrens's picture

I know people generally are switching things up a bit, but I've a few pair that I've set to monogomous relationships. I'm trying to figure out the patterns in nests which ostensibly could lead me to determining when to switch out pairs or give up on a roo. I watch and sort my spreadsheet quite a bit and this is the history on my two pairings.

Mother was a winecoat starter (normal stats for head, hair, ears, tails if not stated) Wine,Monsoon/Diurnal/Dusty,f,shy,1.75. (coat, eye, sex, personality, size) Dad was a starter Wine,Irish/Diurnal/Dusty,m,shy,1.75

They gave me these nests, in order

Ursine,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,f,shy,3.5
Wine,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,m,shy,1.75
Wine,Monsoon/Diurnal/Dusty,m,shy,3.5
Ursine,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,f,shy,0
Ursine,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,m,shy,O

Dad then met with an unfortunate frustrated related accident -.-

The next male introduced was an Ursine,Flare/Diurnal/clear,m,1.75 You will note that there wasn't a huge change in what was being given.

Ursine,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,m,Shy,3.5
Winecoat,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,m,Shy,1.75
Fawn,Monsoon/Diurnal/Dusty,m,Shy,3.5
Winecoat,Umbra/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Upright Ears,f,Shy,1.75
Ursine,Monsoon/Diurnal/Dusty,f,Shy,8.75
Winecoat,Monsoon/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Upright Ears,f,Shy,4.25

This was a good lesson in learning that Dads' eyes never made it into the picture.

I will say that the first offspring of the second pairing mated with an autumn has gone on to give me Amber, Amber, Autum, Amber, Amber. The others not yet.. though I have tried to pair them from the same lines and some are still in nests.

2nd consistent breeding out. Decided to match eyes with this pair and tails and sizes.
Dad was a Fawn,Lunar/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,lazy,7
Mom was Fawn,Lunar/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail, mischievous,7

Offspring, in order

Fawn,Lunar/Diurnal/Clear,Short Tail,m,Mischievous,5.25
Fawn,Capri/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,m,8.75
Fawn,Capri/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,m,Friendly,10.5
Red,Capri/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,f,Friendly,8.75
Fawn,Lunar/Diurnal/Clear,Short Tail,f,Friendly,5.25
Fawn,Lunar/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,f,Mischievous,7
Red,Lunar/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,f,Mischievous,7
Red,Lunar/Diurnal/Dusty,Short Tail,f,Mischievous,8.75

I've done this for a few other lines and what I find interesting is that somewhere in the middle of the roos breeding lifecycle they will toss out the 'rogue' nest that is generally superior to the others (by current standards) and then they revert and if you continue breeding, you'll get another 'rogue' nest with either a new trait (short tails or short ears or a clear eyes).

I don't feel that my regard is contributing any significant nudges.. I've been pretty much at the same level thoughout their breeding cycle. And the roos weren't petted massively (RL) but increased about 50-100 each wait period. With their offspring and the subsequent release of a lot of elders, I've gone up considerably!

Anyways, my question is whether anyone else has found anything similar?
