Doll asked:

"Is it going faster?

i have 8 roos on one stump, I bought a 225L food 2 days ago. It's all gone and I bought more today :(

Just curious if anyone else is noticing the same as I am?"

ANSWER: We've had a few people come here and ask if their Meeroos were eating more than they should. As a result we did some internal testing in different region conditions (With lots of avatars/Meeroos or heavily scripted object) and we could not replicate the issue.

The majority of people are not seeing anything odd, their Meeroos are indeed eating 4 nibbles a day per Meeroo, as intended. We've only had a handful of reports of people who suspect their Meeroos are eating more than they should, and all of them are on the forums.

A Meeroo will only ever eat more than 4 nibbles if it has *missed* meals. It will eat the amount of Meeroos it has missed while it was, for example, in someone's inventory. If it missed 12 meals, it will eat 12 nibbles when it has access to food.

It will also appear a Meeroo is eating more than it should if the food is fellowship enabled and a fellowship members stump is nearby. They do not discern which food is their owners, they will choose on their own which fellowship enabled food dish to eat from on their own. With many Meeroos eating out of 1 dish from a scattered bunch belonging to different people, it can appear to go fast.

You mentioned having 8 Meeroos eating the Berry Basket, which is designed to feed 1 berry eating Meeroo for four weeks. With 8 Meeroos nibbling on that, it will be depleted much more quickly.
