Is The Meeroo Auto-Petter Legal?

ANSWER: The auto-petters are a griefing device used to exploit you for your money and to disrupt the intended mechanism of gameplay. The one currently on the marktplace were not made by us, nor do we support them. They are using scripts obtained by tampering with our HUD and extracting them to input them into another device. They were created by a duo that were banned for committing these exact acts of thievery and manipulation.

Their autopetters have been removed multiple times from the Second Life marketplace, but they persist in relisting them - using YOU as an accessory. To get the their auto petter to work, they are instructing you to tamper with the hud to change it's function by putting it into a device they provide you. This puts each and every player who has done this in harms way and in jeopardy of being banned from breaking our Terms of Service.

If an Auto Petter were released that did not use our scripts or require HUD tampering, they would be legitimate third party tools. No one has created this. Currently all Auto-Peters require the player to violate the terms of service by manipulating the game structure.

We know who is doing this as a report is made every time someone extracts scripts from the HUD and reports it to our database. We heavily advice against doing this, as you risk losing ALL of your regard as a result of these actions when we update.

These are considered a game exploit.
