Are clay pots bananas?

So I coaxed my nile today and low and behold.. shortly thereafter the lil fella dug up a clay vase. Collecting it resulted in 100 regard points. His second resulted in 50 regard points. Now from my previous collections... feathers from the poor eagle, medicine pouches, cowboy hats, etc.. the first time you collected those you got 400 regard points and thereafter get 50. Is it just a random thing?

Each treasure has a different preset Regard value for the first time you collect them, this value varies for each treasure. Then the regard value drops to 50 for every time collected after.
