Trying to throw a double traited roo

celestepaule's picture

I know, I'm super behind on the times, but I am extremely limited with prims and I can't put money into the game so I have been progressing quite slowly.

I finally got my first tiger ear baby

and I want to throw a tail in there along with the tiger ears. It has quite a bit of curled background so I believe my chances are high that we have curled recessive in there.

So that's where I'm confusing myself.

Do I need to go with a roo that has both ear and tail traits in the background or just hope for the best and introduce a heavily tail traited roo?

Because I can't put RL $ into the game I need to use a nest I already have. These are my choices.

oooor I can wait for another tiger baby because I know the parents will definitely be producing one and hope for a female to match it with one of the three males i have from this line

I hate that I can't figure out what I will make if I pair x+z, but I am learning. I did know that the tiger parents once finally paired together would be giving me a tiger baby, so that's a giant leap forward for me.

I just get confused with what's the best strategy when it comes to recessive and visible traits as I'm sure we all do. Anyway, if anyone has any advice, that would be awesome. I really am trying to breed these guys out with what I have already because I know I can do it, just get a little frustrated that it takes so long! ^_^
