A place to discuss the genetics of meeroos.

Hi All ^_^

After months of fawns, ursines, and the good old winecoat, a friend graciously let me "borrow" two female nests to help "boost" my stock. They are two beautiful Snowpaws ^_^

Here are their stats:

Does anyone have any advice as to what to pair these two with? I've heard good things about pairing Snowpaws with the Masked species, any truth to this?

As I've had zero luck so far with breeding roo's, I really don't want to mess these two up!

in our litte fellowship, there are 5 of us. we've been trying hard to figure this out without success. I'm so discouraged at this point, I'm about at the point where I want to give up. anything new we've gotten, we've gotten because we bought it.

a couple of months ago, my friend Wren, bought 2 kois. she gave the first baby to Robby. Robby bought another koi to match. I got koi to match one of his offspring. we breed them back to Wren's originals. all we got from any of those was more kois. we learned same gets more of the same.

Meh

My Zulu and Snowpaw made an Autumn?!

The meeroos I breed don't seem to advance beyond the highlands, autumns and ambers. And now when I buy Snowpaws and Zulus, I end up getting autumns? Is this real bad luck?

Are meeroo's designed to allow head traits to be a dominant trait or are they strictly limited to being recessive? Please understand, I am looking for a definite answer here, not an opinion. I am trying to breed a SUE female with a feline-head male who are otherwise identical except for size. I am wondering if I have a chance of both traits passing to the offspring to produce a SUE, feline-head. Each of the parents have parents with strong respective genes.

Ok here it is ... I have this Koi:

And This Kabuki:

If you look at there babies. You will see the first nest was a Pharaoh. Then a Koi. Then Painted. Then Koi. Then a Sakura.

Could this mean Special Offspring?

My first double high traited roo! This morning. Woot!

I like ursines so it's in a good coat for me too.

Blake & Fog - Ursine TIGER EAR LONG MANE Flare Dusty Male Shy Average - 2797354

There was also this one, though it would've been even better on its' mother's painted coat. hehe

Grr & Sia - Fawn SUE UPEARS FLUFFY CHEST Irish Dusty Male MIschievous Medium - 2803226

Now what should I breed them with?

Hello there,

I am planning some combinations. Maybe you could give me some correction, if its not really good.
Let me explain:

I want to breed the following pairs...

with
http://www.worldofmeeroos.com/meeroos/meeroo/2689716

and

with
http://www.worldofmeeroos.com/meeroos/meeroo/2729485

The offsprings of both I want to pair with some traited normal coated ones (if matchable)
for example:
